ALL orders under $15.00 will be subject to a $3.00 service charge

Raw materials are relatively inexpensive, but are heavy.  In some cases shipping may cost more than the product ordered.  Please check shipping costs to your area before ordering

Example: 5 pounds of Custer Feldspar ($2.75) shipped to Seattle, Washington will cost:

  • $12.15 US Postal Service Priority Mail
  • $9.43 US Postal Service Parcel Post
  • $6.48 UPS Ground

Estimating Shipping Costs

Discounts
We are a "Discount Specialty Store" - so what does that mean to you? On most items you will see two prices, OUR PRICE and a List Price, the list price will most often be in ( ) of course you pay the lesser amount, The price on some products are based on quantity - i. e. Clay, Lotion Pumps.

Sales Tax
Orders picked up at our premises or shipped within Texas are subject to a 8.25% sales tax, unless accompanied by a Resale or Exempt Certificate, an active registration number, or be a State or Federal Organization containing an active registration number.

Open Accounts
Available to schools, colleges, institutions and government agencies, most of which use purchase order numbers but some do not. Terms are net 30 days, freight charges will be prepaid and added to your invoice.

Catalogs
Active customers or institutions simply request one, yours free of charge. Now for all you others ... there is a $3.75 charge when picked up at the store. If mailing is requested please add $1.75 for postage. With your receipt the cost of the catalog will be credited toward your first purchase of $25.00 or more (postage will not be credited).

Shipping
We will do our best to ship your order the least expensive way, using UPS, or a common freight carrier. We do not ship COD. Orders sent by Common Carrier will be sent prepaid for schools and institutions. Individuals orders sent by Common Carrier will be sent freight collect. If a pallet is needed to ship your order there will be a $4.00 pallet charge for each pallet needed.

Kiln Shelf / Post Orders
Loose kiln shelf or post orders sent by UPS or Common Carrier will be charged a min. $10.00 or 10% for the packing and handling that's it takes to get kiln shelf / post orders to you in one piece. Kiln furniture kits packaged by the Kiln Mfg. will not be charged this fee.

Damaged or Missing
UPS; if you receive a package with damaged goods notify UPS and follow their instructions. If a package is missing notify us so that we can put a tracer on it. Common Carrier, count all packages to make sure it is the same as the number on the freight bill, if something is dented or looks damaged, or a package is missing, it must be noted on the freight bill. Then call the carrier for instructions on filing a claim or a tracer. Most important - report damaged or missing packages right away, You have a limited amount of time to file a claim. Usually less than two weeks. If you have not received everything you ordered and packages have arrived in tact, YOU MUST NOTIFY US WITHIN 3 DAYS for us to consider responsibility for the missing items.
